The Mofidi refrigerated air dryer is one of the most important components of a compressed air system. Air leaving a compressor always carries a lot of water vapor; in the pipes it condenses into water, causing corrosion, damage to valves and pneumatic cylinders, and lower product quality. A refrigerated dryer cools the compressed air to about 3 °C, turning the vapor into liquid and removing it from the air.

How Does a Refrigerated Dryer Work?

Warm, humid compressed air enters the dryer and is cooled to about 3 °C in a heat exchanger by the refrigeration circuit. At this temperature, water vapor condenses into droplets (lowering the dew point). The water is collected in a separator and discharged through the drain valve, and dry air flows on to the network. The built-in microfilter element and separator filter also reduce particles and contaminants.
